Time for you - gentle, soothing yoga and music sessions

'I loved the session. I found it super relaxing & came away feeling relaxed & calm' Charly

Restorative yoga with Kora
9 June, 4 - 6.30pm
24th November
, 3 - 5.30pm
£28. The Phoenix Tree, Edithmead

Join us for a 2 hour session of gentle movement, restorative yoga poses and yoga nidra (guided meditation). The workshop will involve gentle movement to prepare the body for holding supported postures for 5-10 minutes.  Each supported posture helps slow down the nervous system, thus helping to relieve the effects of chronic stress.  We will finish with a lovely yoga nidra for ultimate relaxation. The session will be accompanied by the relaxing music of the Kora (as west African-21 stringed harp) played by Josh Doughty. Josh is recognised as one of the greatest non-African kora players, mentored from a young  age by Malian kora maestro Toumani Diabaté. At the end of the session, there will be a chance to have a hot drink and chat. Suitable for all levels of experience.
