Restorative yoga with live Kora music by Josh Doughty,

8 October, 4.30 - 6.30pm - SOLD OUT

Join me for a 2 hour session of gentle movement, restorative yoga poses and yoga nidra (guided meditation). The workshop will involve gentle movement to prepare the body for holding supported postures for 5-10 minutes.  Each supported posture helps slow down the nervous system, thus helping to relieve the effects of chronic stress.  We will finish with a lovely yoga nidra for ultimate relaxation. The session will be accompanied by the relaxing music of the Kora (as west African-21 stringed harp) played by Josh Doughty, one of the UK’s best young Kora players. At the end of the session, there will be a chance to have a hot drink and chat. All equipment provided, including yoga bolsters for support.

Cost £25. Suitable for all levels of fitness & yoga experience. Beginners welcome!

This slow Sunday will be a really special joint event with Tara Baggott, Sound Healer. Join us for a wonderful afternoon combining the gentle practice of Yin Yoga with the enchanting vibrations of a Sound Bath. In this unique session, Anna will guide you through some gentle movement and nourishing Yin Yoga poses, designed to open up your body and release tension. Then Tara will be lulling you into comfortable and restoring relaxation with sounds from Tibetan and crystal singing bowls, some gentle drumming and the shimmering tones of the wind gong. She will also soothe you into a healing state with her voice, singing a mantra to ground you and bring you back to wholeness. Join together for some light refreshments to finish. Cost: £27. Beginners welcome.

All Slow Sunday sessions are held at The Phoenix Tree Studio (just off the A38 Bristol Road at Edithmead)
